Stuttgart Centennial
The citizens at this time paused and reflected on those pioneers who
with sweat and tears gave this community its heritage and traditions.
This memorial recognizes the dedication and efforts of all those who
made this Centennial a year to remember and commemorates:
A full year of special events,
A building of national and international friendships
The visiting of a 60 piece youth orchestra from Aalen, West Germany
along with Dr. Klaus Lang, the Mayor of Stuttgart, West Germany who
presented Stuttgart, Arkansas U.S.A. with a birthday check to be used
for this memorial and a perpetual music scholarship to be given to a
graduating music student.
