This cabin was built in 1845 by John Walker, the second white settler on Petit Jean Mt.  In 1854, it became the home of Owen & Jane West, a young couple who reared a family of children, 5 of whom were born in this cabin without medical aid.  This cabin is over 150 years old, please treat it with care and respect.
