Jonas married Martha Ellen Adams, daughter of Henderson Zerx M. Adams and S. Elizabeth Martin, on 27 Oct 1895. They had six children: Homer Jonas, Eva Elizabeth, Clara May, Obray Allen, Infant Son, Ina Belle, and then adopted Lorene Jaegers.
