BOX, JOY M., age 80, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 22, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas T. and Janie Robertson Box. Ms. Box was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by one brother, C.W. "Pig" Box; four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; and nieces and nephews. Joy was a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College and received her Master's Degree from the University of Alabama. She taught English at Tuscaloosa High School and Brooke Hill (now Altamont). Chapel service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home with Dr. Don Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Bible College, 2545 Valleydale Road, Birmingham, AL 35244. Valhalla Funeral Home is directing.
