William Davenport , son of John Davenport and Jane, was born in 1820 in South Carolina

William married Mahulda Crumpton on 30 Jun 1841 in Alabama. They had nine children: Wilson, Joseph, John Polk, Nancy, William, Noah, Harriett, Jane, and Oree.

Wilson Davenport was born in 1844 in Alabama

Noted events in his life were:
• Military; 15 Jun 1863, Tennessee
3. 21st Cavalry Company B of Tennessee (also know as the 16th, Bell's Brgd - Wilsons, and Horton's run by Col. Polk) He enlisted in Hardin County,
Tennessee and was present on the muster roll for May and June of 1864. He was shown to have been surrendered on May 4, 1865 by General R. Taylor to Gen E.R. Canby and paroled at Gainesville, Alabama on May 11, 1865. Disabled by a gunshot wound.
• Residence; 1865, Aubern, Cannon County, Tennessee
