Spring City Cemetery

Here are buried settlers, soldiers, mothers, fathers, and children who shaped the history of the Mammoth Springs area. Life then, as now, was not easy, and many found their way to this quiet place. While this cemetery was in use as early as 1852, its name dates to 1881 when Spring City, Missouri was incorporated in hope of securing a stop on the new railroad. When Mammoth Spring, Arkansas received the railroad depot, Spring City faded out of existence.

Unfortunately, most of the grave markers in this cemetery are missing. This headstone disappeared some time after 1992. To date, family and local historians have identified over 50 persons who are buried here. For more information, please contact the Parks Information Center.
