Al Capone's Car
Notice
This 1928 Cadillac series 341 belonged to Al Capone. Capone had someone
buy the car for him, & then had a foundry add quarter inch boiler plate
panel all around & under the soft top. He had inch thick windows,
windshield & rear window installed. The rear window was hinged so it
could be dropped back into the car to allow for shooting at pursuers. In
1928 the Chicago Police were equipped with black & green Cadillacs as
cruisers, and so Capone had his car painted the same colors. |
