To All Persons Concerned:
Take notice----- that some time in October last, I executed to one Elias
Simpson (then of Crawford county, Arkansas Territory) my certain writing
or promissory note, with John C. Sumner as my security, for Ninety
Dollars payable in about six months after date. These are therefore to
caution all persons from trading for or taking an assignment on said
note, as it was fraudulently obtained from me, and I am determined not
to pay one cent of it unless compelled by law.
