08/2/1824	Military Bounty Lands, For Sale For Taxes NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, THAT there will be sold on Monday, the eight day of November next, at the Court House door in the town of Helena, in the County of Phillips, and Territory of Arkansas, the following tracts or parcels of Military Bounty Lands, lying and being situate in said county, or so much of each of them as will be sufficient to pay the taxes and costs due thereon, for the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty-four, unless the said taxes and costs due on the said lands are paid before that time, by the owners or agents thereof. 08/3/1824	LAND FOR SALE FOR TAXES That the following list of Military Bounty Lands, furnished to the undersigned, Sheriff of the county of Independence, by the Auditor of the Territory of Arkansas, situate in said county of Independence, which were listed and entered for taxation for the one thousand eight hundred and twenty-four, and the taxes assessed and levied thereon to the several persons hereinafter mentioned, agreeable to the sums annexed to their respective names in conformity with the Act of the General Assembly of said Territory, in such cases made and provided, will be sold at Public Auction, on Wednesday, the twenty-seventh day of October next, by the undersigned, Sheriff as aforesaid, at the Court House in the town of Batesville, in said County, or so much as thereof as will be sufficient to pay the taxes, costs, charges, due thereon; which said sale will continue from day to day until said lands shall be disposed of. 08/3/1824	NOTICE THE subscriber having sold out his stock of goods, and being about to leave the place for a short time, has left his books and papers in the hands of the Rev. Silas T. Toncray, where those indebted to him are requested to call and make payment. 08/24/1824	ARKANSAS MILITARY LAND AGENCY THE undersigned having opened a GENERAL LAND AGENCY OFFICE at Little Rock, the Seat of Government of the Territory of Arkansas, will attend to paying taxes, recording deeds, redeeming lands, sold for non-payment of taxes or any other business relating to the Military Bounty Lands in this Territory. For paying taxes and procuring the necessary receipts, his services will be rendered GRATIS; and his charges will be moderate for any other Agency business which may be confided to him. All orders must be post paid, and accompanied by a sufficient sum to cover all disbursements required to be made, or they will not be attended to.
