A MURDERER TAKEN - We learn, by a person from Miller County, that
William Hill, the murderer of Mr. Wm. Perry, at Potosi, Missouri, and
for whose apprehension a reward of $1,000 was offered by the brothers of
the deceased, has been taken on the Colorado, in the Province of Texas,
by Col. Ross, of Clark County, in this Territory. A citizen of Miller
County (from whom our informant derived his information) passed Col.
Ross within three days travel of Natchitoches, about fifteen days since,
and says he had Hill well secured, and under a strong escort; and he
understood that he would proceed to Missouri with his prisoner, with as
little delay as possible.

HOUSEHOLD FURNITURE, &C.
AT AUCTION
The subscriber will offer at public sale, on Wednesday, the 1st day of
February next, to the highest bidder, sundry articles of FURNITURE, &c.
consisting of: Bureaus, Bedsteads, Tables, Stands, Rushbottom Chairs,
&c.
He will also offer:
Farming Utensils, 5 or 600 bushels of corn,
And a number of other articles too tedious to mention.
The Furniture was selected, is neat, made of the best materials, and by
first-rate workmen.
A FARM - at private Sale.
He also offers the FARM he lives on, at private sale. The tract contains
320 acres, and is decidedly the most beautiful situation in the
Peconery, and not surpassed by any on the Arkansas. This tract might be
divided into three farms, giving to each of them an equal front and an
equal quantity of cleared land on the river. To persons wishing to farm
a small way, this place would be an object. It will be divided to suit
purchasers but the subscriber would prefer selling the whole together.
There is a first rate Cotton Gin on the adjoining farm, and there will
shortly be a Grist and Saw Mill in operation in the neighborhood.
If not previously disposed of at private sale, the FARM will be offered
in small tracts, on the day of sale.
The whole will be sold on a credit of 12 months, by the purchasers'
securing the payment at the expiration of that time.
The subscriber takes this opportunity of stating to his friends and the
public in general, that he is not selling out for the purpose of
quitting Arkansas, nor even Conway county; but merely for the purpose of
taking a fair start on his own bottom.
