Edward R. McDonald House - This Sheridan
dwelling was built circa 1900 and altered several times.
Mr. McDonald (1887 - 1982) was a surveyor, teacher,
lawyer, county sheriff (1921 - 1925) and Arkansas
Secretary of State (1931 - 1936). The house now
contains a "Doctor's Office", "Law Office", and
political memorabilia room. It was presented to
the Museum in 1990 by Mr. and Mrs. Dan Nall of Sheridan.

Doctor's Office
This room is furnished with medical equipment once
in the offics of Dr. O.R. Kelly, Dr. Miles Kelly,
Dr. C.F. Cole, Dr. Faber Carter, and Dr. Curtis
Clark.
Most Early Grant County physicians maintained
offices in their own homes, while others might use
space in local drug stores. All of them made house
calls when required.
