Shirley Satterfield's Family
We will now go through Shirley’s brothers and sisters one at a time. Shirley was the oldest. Danna Faye was the second oldest, born in 1941, she married Charley Waits in 1957. They stayed in Ozark
the first year of their marriage,
but moved to Kansas when he got a job on the railroad. They lived in Topeka for
several years and he bought 4 houses. Later, they moved to
Kansas City and they bought another house. They had
done quite good and are now worth a considerable amount of money. They have 3 children:
Randy, Tiffany, and Tanya.

One time when they came in on a vacation, we all went out on big Mulberry creek on a fishing trip. By we, I mean,
Johnny (Shirley’s
brother), Danna, Charley, Shirley, and I. We set out trout lines and caught 18 catfish. In the night it
started raining and the seed ticks
started falling out of the trees. The next morning we were all covered. We got out of there as fast as we could, but I’m afraid that was
pretty slow. We were back in the woods pretty far and trail was real rough.
After reaching our house we had to take a bath in a number 3 washtub. We did not have a bathroom at this time in 1959.One time in 1976, we visited them in Kansas. While we were there we all went out to the World of Fun. This is a park with lots of rides
and shows. Needless to say, we all had a good time at the park. Charley and I rode the rides just
like the kids did. Shirley was afraid to
ride anything after she rode the first one.
Johnny Ray Satterfield was the third. John served in the army during the Vietnam War and when he came out of service he moved to Coal
Hill. He married Midge Crabtree. This was her third marriage and she had four children already.
They have two of their own. Andy born in
1971 and Rock born in 1974.
Lanora was the fourth. She married Gary Vaught of Hartman. They now live in Hartman and have two children. Brian born in 1966 and Dena
born in 1969.
Mona was the fifth born in 1947. She married Doyle Isenhart and they had two children. Beverly, born in 1965 and Teresa born in 1966.
They have since divorced.
Howard Satterfield was the sixth born in 1949. He served in the
Vietnam war and came back to Coal Hill to live. He married Lou Ann
Wilson. They have one daughter named Amy Marie born in 1977. They now live in the old
Weathers house.
Elizabeth was the seventh, she was born in 1953 and married Robert Reynolds. They are divorced now. She has three children: Bradley born
in 1971, Sheldon in 1972, and Ashley born in 1979.
Becky was the eighth child and she is married to Randy Muldoon. She has one son, Craig, born in 1975.
