This marker is at the corner of Cherry and Main. Why do they put
markers in the "middle" of the road? I wonder if anyone has ever got run
over trying to check a marker out.

Clarksville Sesquicentennial Flagpole
The Clarksville Chapter Daughters, NSDAR, sponsored a seal design contest the
summer of 1998.
The City of Clarksville, adopted the seal as the official
seal of Clarksville Sesquicentennial.
This flagpole was erected November30, 1998. The Sesquicentennial flag
flew on this pole for the month
of December to commemorate Clarksville's 150th
birthday on December 21, 1998.
