Lafayette County Court House

Lewisville, Lafayette County, Arkansas

1940-1942 Art Deco-style public building
Listed in National Register of Historic Places on February 25, 1993.

 

Lafayette County Court House
The first Court House in Lafayette County. Erected in 1828, was built of logs on Chickaninny Prairie. In 1840 a new town site for the county seat was laid off at the place to which was given the name of Lewisville.
