Foreman Public School Building

Street Scene Foreman is situated on the highest point
midway between Red and Little Rivers, twelve miles from each, on the
Frisco Railroad and the Fort Smith & Texarkana Highway, forty miles
west of Texarkana, and six miles from the Oklahoma state line. A
public school building was recently erected at Foreman which is
worth $80,000, and is attended by 400 pupils. Among the Foreman
churches is one recently completed worth $20,000. Two banks, the
Bank of Foreman and the Citizens' Bank, have combiner capital,
surplus, and undivided profits of $100,000 and total deposits of
$800,000.
The main crops about Foreman are cotton and corn but peanuts are
increased every season. Sweet and Irish potatoes, strawberries,
peaches, wheat, oats, alfalfa are valuable crops.
