This glass ball on the stairs is
somewhat unusual as they were not that common and it
is not broken. It is original to the house.

The dining table which is original
to the house will accommodate 14 people. It
was built by Arthur Alexander, Bob Dortch and Mr.
Hodge.

See that rock in the front yard?
That rock is said to be several feet in the ground
now but Chester Ashley's son Chester Pomeroy would
sit on it and watch the mill operations. He
was a very sick boy and that is as close as his dad
would let him get. He died at the age of 8 and
a photograph of him sitting on the rock is said to
be at the Arkansas Territorial Restoration. I
know, I know, sounds crazy, but just a small piece
of trivia that interested me since I transcribed his
obit for the Arkansas Gazette project.
