25, of El Dorado, Kan.; assigned to the 314th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark.; killed July 11 by enemy action near Forward Operating Base Summerall, Iraq.  Hometown: Shirley, Arkansas.

Derek Plowman

Army Spc. Derek J. Plowman
20, of Everton, Ark.; assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 142nd Fires Brigade, Rogers, Ark.; died July 20 in Baghdad from a gunshot wound.

Matthew K. Reece

Army Spc. Matthew K. Reece
24, of Harrison, Ark.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died December 1, 2007 in Baghdad of wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.

31, of North Little Rock, Ark.; assigned to the 39th Infantry Brigade, Arkansas Army National Guard, Little Rock, Ark.; died Feb. 10 of non-combat-related injuries in Taji, Iraq.

Joshua R. Rodgers

Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Joshua R. Rodgers
29, of Carson City, Nev.; assigned to the 3rd General Support Aviation Battalion, 82nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died May 30, 2007 in Upper Sangin Valley, Afghanistan, when his CH-47 Chinook helicopter crashed apparently due to enemy fire. Father lives in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Thomas C. Rosenbaum

Army Sgt. Thomas C. Rosenbaum
25, of Hope, Ark.; assigned to the 4th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; killed Sept. 18 when an improvised explosive device hit his convoy vehicle in Baghdad.

Lyle W. Rymer II

Army Spc. Lyle W. Rymer II
24, of Fort Smith, Ark.; assigned to the 239th Engineer Company, 39th Infantry Brigade, Arkansas Army National Guard, Booneville, Ark.; killed Jan. 28 when he was shot by enemy forces in Baghdad.

Bruce Salazar Jr.

Army Pfc. Bruce Salazar, Jr.
24, of Tracy, California; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.; died July 6, 2007 in Muhammad Sath, Iraq, of wounds sustained from an improvised explosive device. Also killed was Cpl. Kory D. Wiens. Father lives in Springdale, Arkansas.

Jesse M. Samek

Air Force Airman 1st Class Jesse M. Samek
21, of Rogers, Ark.; assigned to the 66th Rescue Squadron, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.; died Oct. 21 from injuries he received when an Air Force HH-60 helicopter aircraft crashed during a medical evacuation mission in Afghanistan.
