Army Spc. Phillip N. Sayles 26, of Jacksonville, Ark.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry
Regiment, 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Wash.; killed
May 28 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his security
position in Mosul, Iraq.
Tyler R. Seideman

Army Spc. Tyler R. Seideman 20, of Lincoln, Ark.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry
Regiment, 3rd Infantry Brigade combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii;
died August 22, 2007 in Multaka, Iraq, of injuries sustained when his
helicopter crashed. Also killed were Capt. Corry P. Tyler, Chief Warrant
Officer 2, Paul J. Flynn, Sgt. Matthew L. Tallman, Spc. Rickey L. Bell,
Capt. Derek A. Dobogai, Staff Sgt. Jason L. Paton, Sgt. Garrett I. McLead, Cpl. Jeremy P. Bouffard, Cpl. Phillip J.
Brodnick, Cpl. Joshua S. Harmon, Cpl. Nathan C. Hubbard, Spc. Michael A.
Hook and Spc. Jessy G. Pollard.
John T. Self

Air Force Staff Sgt. John T. Self 29, of Pontotoc, Miss.; assigned to the 314th Security Forces Squadron,
Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark.; died May 14, 2007 as result of enemy
action near Baghdad.
Jeffrey P. Shaffer

Alan W. Shaw

Army Staff Sgt. Alan W. Shaw 31, of Little Rock, Ark.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry
Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood,
Texas; died February 9, 2007 in Baqubah, Iraq, of wounds suffered from
an explosion during breaching operations. Also killed were Staff Sgt.
Eric Ross and Spc. Leeroy A. Camacho.
Erich S. Smallwood

Army Spc. Erich S. Smallwood 23, of Trumann, Ark.; assigned to A Company, 875th Engineer Battalion of
the Arkansas Army National Guard in Marked Tree, Ark.; died May 26, 2007
near Balad, Iraq, of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive
device detonated near his vehicle.

Marine Pfc. Brandon C. Smith 20, of Washington, Ark.; assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine
Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine
Palms, Calif.; killed in action March 18 in Qaim, Iraq.
Michael A. Smith

Army Sgt. Michael A. Smith 24, of Camden, Ark.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 153rd Infantry
Regiment, Arkansas Army National Guard, Texarkana, Ark.; died Nov. 26 at
Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., from injuries
sustained Nov. 7 when he was attacked by enemy forces using small-arms
fire in Baghdad.

Army Cpl. Jeremy L. Stacey 23, of Bismarck, Ark.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry
Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Bliss,
Texas; died July 5, 2007 in Baghdad of wounds sustained from an
improvised explosive device.
