 Jeffries Lot

Notes from Anne Harvey - atwharvey @ verizon.net :

Jeffries Building lot – This MAY be where one of my grandmother’s buildings was. There was a building, I believe next to the old movie theater (the movie theater building was owned by Johnny & Stella Crabtree, as I recall) and next to it was a building owned by my grandmother, which I believe was leased at one time by Fred’s (the dollar store). The side wall of the theater eventually fell in, causing problems with the wall of the building my grandmother owned since it was a bearing wall. My grandmother either eventually had that torn down or possibly left empty until her death. The building I am thinking of was on the north side of Madison.
