Monroe County, Arkansas Court House Clarendon, Monroe County, Arkansas       Monroe County First Court House The first Court House in Monroe County created in 1829, was erected about 1830 on a site on Joseph Jacobs farm, to which was given the name of Lawrenceville. There it remained until 1858 when the county seat was moved to Clarendon.
