Town of Chidester - In northwest part of county, on Missouri Pacific Railroad. Population, 500.  Good schools and churches.  Prosperous Bank. Cotton Gin.  Five modern brick stores.

Town of Bearden - Population of 1800.  In northeast part of county.  On Cotton Belt Route.  Excellent farming country; flat land and upland gravel land.  Good natural gravel roads.  Electric lights.  Prosperous bank.  New $60,000 high school.  Cotton gin and saw mills.
