Major Elias Rector

Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas 

Elias Rector was a famous U.S. Marshal for 16 years, starting in 1830.  He was "That Fine Old Arkansas Gentleman" in a poem written by Albert Pike.  Rector's son, Henry M. Rector was governor from 1860 to 1862.
