who loved Mena and her people.
Erected by his Wife and Daughter, 1920.

This clock was placed in the park in 1918 by the family of George L. Lochridge, a local merchant, who had relocated here from Texas.  He was said to have left money in his will for the park and his family added to that and bought the clock.
