Oakland Cemetery is one of Little Rock's oldest
cemeteries and probably
the largest with over 32,000 estimated graves.
The Oakland Cemetery and
Oakland Fraternal Cemetery was acquired by the
city of Little Rock in 1860
and is fully self-supporting from the sale
of lots and burial charges. The
office is open Monday through Friday
from 8-4:30, closing at lunch. You
will find the staff and sexton, more
than friendly and helpful. They can not,
however, help you on
the Oakland Jewish Cemetery and have limited
resources on the Mausoleum
since those are maintained by different sources.
