Powell - Clements House

This house was built by Samuel Powell,
the manager for Metropolitan Life. It also served as the
Governor's Mansion in 1921 when Gov. Thomas C. McRae rented the house
during his first year of office. In 1922, it was purchased by
George Clements. |
