Rossi House

1716 Louisiana Street

Little Rock, Arkansas

Built in 1905 for Joseph Rossi, an Italian immigrant, who owned a saloon at 800 S. Main Street.  He was married to Emma Sarlo, whose father and uncle Joseph also ran saloons.  Mr. Rossi died in an automobile accident in 1927 but his widow continued to live in the house until her death in the mid-1950's.  Their nephew, Joseph Sarlo, inherited the house since the couple had no children.
