Little Rock, Arkansas.

1869 Second Empire design

Listed on the National Register of Historic Place on July 14, 1978.  #78000622

Thanks to Linda Hatcher, once again, her information on the "Packett House" allowed me to find more info on the National Register for this house.  I am sorry but "Designing Women" should have been made here and not at the "Villa Marre," but that is just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions.

This house was built by from 1869 - 1871 by Alexander McDonald, one-time Senator of Arkansas and at one time considered the richest man in the state.  He did not own the house long before selling it in the 1870's.  He died in 1903.
