Who doesn't love the Old Mill?
Trips to the Old Mill have been going on in
my family so long, it is like going
home to visit. The Old Mill was started in
1931 and finished in
1933, the brainchild of developer Justin Matthews, supposedly
to honor his
friend T.R. Pugh for whom the park is named. Frank Carmean designed
the
setting and the Mill building. Dionicio Rodriguez, sculptor and artist
handled
all the design work making everything look like real wood, iron, or
stone.
