Pulaski County Government

The County Government in Pulaski County was organized May 24, 1819,

at the house of Samuel McHenry.  The next year at the first session of the

General Assembly of Arkansas Territory, the permanent seat of Government for

Pulaski County was located in the town of Cadron, situated at the mouth of

Cadron Creek on the Arkansas River.  The County was named for Count Casmir

Pulaski, the Polish Patriot, who was killed at Savannah in 1779 while

serving America.
