This house was built by Caldwell Bradshaw
and sold to Mary Frese and her son, John Henry Frese. According to the
Quapaw brochure Mrs. Frese was a partner in Sparks and Frese, a "cigar
manufactory" and her son was a telegraph operator for Western Union.
The name marker in front of the house is
engraved "Schaer", of which the history is not known.
