Arkansas Ties ... A Little Bit of This, a Little Bit of That, and a Whole Lot of Arkansas

Frese Cottage 1614 Louisiana Street Pulaski County, Arkansas c. 1882   This house was built by Caldwell Bradshaw and sold to Mary Frese and her son, John Henry Frese. According to the Quapaw brochure Mrs. Frese was a partner in Sparks and Frese, a "cigar manufactory" and her son was a telegraph operator for Western Union.   The name marker in front of the house is engraved "Schaer", of which the history is not known.
