Zanone House 1896
Pitts House 1898
The Zanone and Pitts Houses, 913 and 915 S. Cumberland St. respectively,
are examples of middle-class dwellings built in Little Rock during the
late 19th century. The Zanone house was the home of John B. Zanone, a
traveling salesman. George W. Pitts, builder of the house, was in the
carriage-making business. Both houses were built in the late 1890's in a
style sometimes called "free classic" which combines characteristics of
both the Queen Anne and classical revival styles of architecture.
