Black River Bridge

Highway 67 over Black River

Pocahontas, Randolph County, Arkansas

 

1934 swing bridge (not to be confused for a "swinging" bridge)
Listed in National Register of Historic Places on April 9, 1990.

1, 255 foot-long structure containing two Parker trusses, a Warren-truss swing span, and 764 feet of concrete pile trestle approaches.  Built by the Pittsburg - Des Moines Steel Company and opened on November 27, 1934.
