John Wesley Prickett Family Homestead

This tree planted October 1989 to commemorate 100 years John Wesley Prickett Family owning this land.

Prickett Homestead - Mr. Prickett owned the Prickett Dairy Farm and the property at covered hundreds of acres at one time.

From top down, left to right: David Jackson, Linda (Prickett) Jackson, Martha "Marcy" Jackson and my special friend, David Jackson.  Many of the Prickett family members still live on Prickett Road and call it home.

This piece of property at the corner of Prickett and Shoal Roads, was at one time,  a slave burial ground and about where the double-wide is set-up, there were old slave quarters.  The Prickett's did not own any slaves but the previous owners in the 1800's left remnants behind and the info was passed down.  The name of the cemetery is not known.
