Mrs. Mary McGarrah died here this evening. Aged (?) years. She had
been a resident of this vicinity since 1843 and was the wife of Col.
Jack McGarrah, who died many years ago, and who in early days was
prominent and widely known. Mrs. McGarrah's descendants amount to
three or four hundred in this county.
Wife of John "Jack" McGarrah, daughter of Elijah & Sarah Graham,
Early Fayetteville, Arkansas Pioneers. Mother of children born in
Fayetteville, Arkansas: Elizabeth, Sarah, Cynthia Ann, Jane, Eliza,
Randolph, Seborn Graham Sneed, James Conway and Mary Margaret
McGarrah.
