This memorial statue is located on the lawn of the Nashville State Capitol.
Andrew Johnson was the unfortunate President to succeed Lincoln after his death and as such had the duty to start reconstructing the country after the war. He was not very popular and landed up being impeached but was acquitted by one vote.
