I received the following letter concerning John T. Molter. I do not know if he was from Arkansas but if you can connect, drop Mr. Paul Hobljn a line. – Pris
Dear reader,
Last month my daughter was in Vietnam. She has been told about the war where american soldiers have been fighting.
She brought back an identity plate of one of the american soldiers, found by vietnamees people.
The plate is of a certain John T Molter. The number on the plate is us 5276 9281. Blood type A pos cath. The last number on the plate is 134 38 0573.
May be you can trace de family and may be they are interested in the identity plate. If so I will send it to them.
With friendly regards, I.Hobijn (The Netherlands)

Kettle 2011
The Kettle 2011
From the editor:
Once again as I began work on The Kettle for 2011, Richard Stephens agreed to paint a watercolor for our cover for the second year. The cover set the tone for the publication, and I knew I would have to work hard to live up to this new cover painting. As planning began, we were fortunate to have the support of the Hot Springs Convention Bureau and City Plumbing Heating and Electric, Inc. as our 2011 Corporate Members. These memberships make it possible for us to publish a fine book.
The book contains six individual or family stories: Godwin Family, William A. “Bill” Seiz, Elmer Beard, Jim Randall, Echols/Hurst Families, and Moses Donalds. There are lists of marriages (H and I), Probate Records (H), Mountain Pine (Browning) and Peak Cemetery transcriptions, Surname Books available, Pedigree Charts, and more.
The year was almost entirely confined to work in Garland County rather than a wide ranging effort as last year that spread from coast to coast. The information published last year still generates contact for The Melting Pot. A descendent of Julian Ransier, “Last Veteran of Custer’s Brigade”, contacted me from New York. He wanted a copy of the article, and he just wanted to talk. And, once again it is a small world.
May we all strive not to “lose our past…” as we rush through life toward our future.
Patti Hays has posted a Table of Contents on the Melting Pot website at: http://rootsweb.ancestry.com/~armpgs/kettle-2011.htm and it looks like it is full of great Arkansas info!
