Beebe,
White county, Ark.
Beebe is located thirty-three miles Northeast of Little Rock on the St.
L.I.M. & S. Ry., or Missouri Pacific system, which affords excellent
railroad facilities for passenger or freight traffic. This town has
enjoyed a steady, healthy growth and we have a citizenship that is ever
on the alert to advance the best interests of this community, which is
an assurance that our wonderful resources will be further developed.
The population is 98% white, we have six good churches, and a $60,000
high school building is now under construction. Beebe is the original
strawberry town in Arkansas. We now have a flourishing Strawberry
Association, and also a Sweet Potato Growers' Association.
A pike road running from southwest to northeast is now being built. |
