Yell County Council Oaks

Four blocks west of this point stands the famous Council Oaks under which Robert Crittenden, acting governor of Arkansas Territory, and Black Fox Chief of the Cherokee Tribe met April 1820 to fix the boundary for the Cherokee lands.
