I grew up at Vilonia, Faulkner County, have not lived there since 1957,everytime I come back, so many of the old structures are gone, there are some homes in Vilonia that should be on historic register also, also the school has old gym I am always afraid will be replaced, it was so new,modern in my school time.The Rock buildings that house the homemaking dept and the boys shop training are still there as well as the main original brick building, much has been added. I lived 3/4th mile south of Vilonia, until I was about 12, the main part of the old house is still there, has been added on to and many, many of the family residences on that road are gone,cemetery is just back of our old house,across the woods, on another road. The old Nazarine Church is still there, the old camp meeting area is just across highway. I believe the cover is now gone. We also lived at the foot of the hill off Chandler(I think thats the name now) Road, the house is gone now, a nice home project is there now, but I can still see our old pond and some of the cedar trees that lined the road up to our house.
